CII-XIMB Center of Excellence The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Eastern Region signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) for setting up a centre of excellence in the areas of research, training and consultancy. The MoU was signed at a brief ceremony, which was presided over by Mr. Rajive Kaul, Past President, CII and Mr. Ravi Poddar, Deputy Chairman, CII Eastern Region. The 'CII-XIMB Center of Excellence' would play a significant role in research and consultancy activities in diverse industry sectors like Energy & Power, Oil and Petrochemicals, Health Care, Insurance and Outsourcing, amongst others. The centre would also focus on imparting quality training from large, medium and small enterprises and for promoting entrepreneurship amongst the youth, especially from rural areas and amongst women and weaker sections of the society. Father E. A. Abraham, Director of XIMB said that this was yet another initiative in XIMB's constant attempt to develop technical, professional and managerial excellence, social and cultural sensitivity, ethical responsibility and concern for the environment.
