Chaos 2006 Gets Off to a Scintillating Start at IIM Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, January 27th, 2006: Friday morning got off to a scintillating start with the prelims to three events simultaneously kicking things off, each catering to a different genre! For the literary enthusiasts, there was the Mime Contest, for the die-hard quizzers, the General Quiz, and finally, for music lovers, there was the Antakshari. All classic, wholesome festival material of course!

Having had your fill of these elimination rounds (or having been eliminated!), you can now take your pick of two exciting workshops planned in the morning. Always been embarrassed at authentic Chinese restaurants when you couldn't handle chopsticks? Well your prayers have been answered; Chaos 2006 presents the Chopsticks Workshop in association with Hotel Pride. Not really into Chinese food and couldn't care less about eating out of sticks, no problem - we present to you the Painting Workshop, which will start simultaneously. This workshop will be conducted by artist Pradeep Dhawan, who is specially arriving from Delhi for this purpose.

But these are not all the workshops planned for the day. Come the afternoon and it will be time for the Photography and Dance Workshops. Spin Academy will conduct sessions on three dance forms - The Salsa, Jive and Latin Ballroom over three days, each of them lasting about two and a half hours. This one has been specially scheduled for all the guys out there planning to impress their objects of desire with some nifty dancing on valentine's but just didn't know where to start! Well, for everyone in need, there's Chaos!

Tucked neatly into the packed schedule for the day are two management games. Before you start wondering if they're a little out of place in a cultural festival, be rest assured, they'll be the perfect blend of managerial skill and all-out fun. So go ahead and compete, but remember, you need a little whackiness to win!
