Samiksha: A Panel Discussion to be Held at NITIE, Mumbai
Topic: 'VAT: Implications on India Inc.'

In quest of excellence, the students of Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering (PGDIE) at NITIE, Mumbai, are organizing 'Samiksha' - a Panel Discussion event. The event is scheduled to be held on 24th February in the NITIE Auditorium.

Samiksha is a year round activity undertaken by the students of NITIE. It takes the atmosphere of learning beyond the binds of classroom & curriculum. While updating with latest trends in industry, it prepares the budding managers for challenges of evolving business conditions. The attempt is to attune the students to become more responsive and focused on the dynamic nature of industry requirements. The discussion is aimed at providing a platform for student-corporate interaction.

The topic of discussion is 'VAT: Implications on India Inc'. The discussion is likely to throw some light on the complexities in the VAT rules with regards to property transactions, etc., on VAT dynamics, in various premiere sectors such as FMCG, Petroleum, Automobiles, Logistics, etc. Also it is likely to cover VAT recovery and partial-VAT recovery issues for entities engaged in VAT exempt activities.
