IMI, India Holds 22nd Annual Convocation
Honorable Minister of State for Commerce, Mr. Jairam Ramesh, Presents Alumnus Awards to Three Alumni

New Delhi, April 29, 2006: The Twenty Second Annual Convocation of International Management Institute (IMI) was held today where 138 students were conferred with Post Graduate Diplomas in Business Management (PGDBM). The students were from IMI’s 22nd Three Year Part Time Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM - 21 students) and the Two Year Full Time Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP - 117 Students).

The 22nd Annual Convocation of IMI was declared open by Dr. D. H. Pai Panandikar, Member, IMI Board of Governors. He presented Post Graduate Diplomas in Business Management (PGDBM) to the students. In his opening speech, Dr. Pai Panandikar said that IMI has revived its relationship with IMD Lausanne, and the Business School was working towards achieving the Government of India’s policy of providing the best management education in the country.

Shri. Jairam Ramesh, Honorable Minister of State for Commerce, presented medals and distinguished alumnus awards to three former students of International Management Institute (IMI) for their distinguished achievements in their respective areas. They were Ms. Jayshree Venkatraman (CEO, Amco Batteries Limited & Director, TAFE Power Source), Mr. Raajesh M. Nair (CEO, Madura Garments - Exports) and Mr. Partho P. Kar (Director of Asia R & I Operations, Mckinsey & Company).
