Empresario, NITIE Launches B-Plan++ Contest for MBA Students & Professionals

Mumbai, July 12, 2006: The students of the Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering (PGDIE) at NITIE, Mumbai, are launching the third edition of B-Plan contest under the aegis of Empresario. It's an event which brings the best from the entrepreneur world. It provides a unique platform for budding entrepreneurs to showcase their proficiencies and skills.

Empresario, the endeavor of PGDIE students at NITIE, brings to fore the enthusiasm of the youth along with the experience and knowledge of industry mentors. It adds new dimensions to the realm entrepreneurial events by facilitating a forum for interaction among students and entrepreneurs. Empresario is associated with International Entrepreneurship bodies and incubators like TiE, Mumbai and NirmaLabs. Event sponsor for Empresario 2006 is SIDBI Venture Capital Ltd..

Empresario B-Plan contest has observed high participation since the inception of event. Suitable enhancements have been made in the competition to make it more focused and provide base for many more budding entrepreneurs to interact with the Entrepreneurs and VCs. This year Empresario has upgraded its B-Plan Contest to B-Plan++, which not only invites students but also stimulates working professionals to come out of the shell and present their innovative ideas in front of the world.

The B-Plan++ Contest will have 2 tracks: -

Track 1: The B-plan Contest
Track 2: Elevator Pitch Idea Presentation

B- Plan Presentations (Grand Finale) - 15th October 2006

Prizes

NirmaLabs incubates Track 1 winners and provides seed fund upto Rs. 20 Lacs. Top 3 B-plans will get certificates and associated prizes over Rs. 1 Lac.
