About Manthan

Manthan (the constant process of churning thoughts and ideas) is the Annual Business Seminar organized by the School of Management and Labour Studies (formerly known as the Department of Personnel Management & Industrial Relations).

It is a platform where academia, industry and students get an opportunity to interact with each other. Over the years, Manthan has witnessed the presence of distinguished visionaries such as Azim Premji, Gurucharan Das, J. J. Irani, Arun Maira to name a few. This year, for the first time, we will be including student events as a part of Manthan, which spans across 2 days and will witness participation from students of top-notch B-schools of India.

Theme for Manthan 2006: "Diving Into ‘Alph’: Exploring Depths in HR"

Both Alph and Manthan re-conceptualize expressions of the same idea, that is, of exploring unknown depths and retrieving treasures through such an endeavour. Hence, through this event, our objective is to make sure that this interaction helps explore new depths in the field of HR and thus, provide one an opportunity to widen his/her horizons.
