IIM Ahmedabad to Organize Annual Business School Summit - Confluence 2006
Theme: The 'India' Phenomenon
From November 23-26, 2006

The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, invites corporates, entrepreneurs, professionals, MBA students and undergraduate students to attend its annual international business school summit, Confluence 2006.
The biggest B-school summit in Asia, Confluence offers an unparalleled avenue of opportunities for students to explore issues, share ideas and gain insights into emerging trends, and be at the forefront of management practices.

Confluence 2006 would be held over a period of four days from November 23 to November 26, 2006. It is centered around the theme - The 'India' Phenomenon. The summit is structured around four distinct sessions that are a reflection of the central theme.

Sessions

  • Managing Nations - The Growth Trajectory brings together a variety of stake-holders to indulge in a constructive dialogue aimed at carving out India's position in an "Emerging Asia: Vision 2020 and Beyond".

  • New Horizons - Catalysts for Growth attempt to identify upcoming sectors, which will drive growth in the new millennium.

  • Advantage India - Retaining the Edge looks into possible strategic responses and initiatives that India can come up with to sustain its competitive advantage.

  • Genesis - Creating value attempts to look at innovative entrepreneurial plans, letting budding entrepreneurs interact with venture capitalists and successful entrepreneurs.

    Events

    A typical session will consist of the following: -

  • Case Contest - New cases have been written exclusively for Confluence based on current business issues being faced by our partners.

  • Interactive Competitive Events - These events will focus on generation of creative solutions to live problems, and also promote extensive interaction between participants.

  • Keynote Speech / Debate / Closed Door Interaction / Panel Discussion - Comprising of experts in the relevant area, provide a forum for exchange of diverse views between students, academia and the corporate world.
