International Conference on Social Entrepreneurship in India Inaugurated at TISS, Mumbai

The International Conference on Social Entrepreneurship in India has been inaugurated at TISS, Mumbai. The three-day conference from 24th November to 26th November is organised by UnLtd and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, co-organised by the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management & Higher Studies (NMIMS) with support from the Skoll Centre, Oxford University.
The conference presents a unique opportunity to interact with inspiring change-makers, gain insight into the challenges of the sector and evolve means to promote social entrepreneurship as a tool for social change.

The conference, as the first in the series of Annual Forums, aims to: -

  • Celebrate social entrepreneurship as a tool for social change

  • Encourage the development of social entrepreneurship in India

  • Create mutually beneficial links between UK and Indian social entrepreneurs and institutions.

    Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, one of the most acclaimed institution in the field of Human Resource Management and Social Sciences, has once again proved its leadership and commitment towards developing and utilising one of the most essential factors of production the - Entrepreneurial Skill. Through this endeavour, the forum brings together: -

  • Renowned Social Entrepreneurs from India and internationally to share ideas and experiences, to network and to learn from leading practitioners in the field

  • Agencies that support social entrepreneurs to share models of working with and encouraging change makers

  • Funders to discuss ways to develop sustainable funding for social entrepreneurs
