B-Plan of SPJIMR Students Selected for Thammasat Asia Moot Corp 2007 Competition

S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research continues to breach targets and set the bar higher for generations to come! One of the nation's top B-school renowned for its innovative pedagogy and pioneering forays into customized programs for today's managerial aspirants illustrated what it takes to be and stay at the top!

SPJIMR participants have done the institute proud, yet again! And this time around, they are the students of PGP-1 and PGP 2: Dr. Anshumaan Yadava (PGP-1), Gopal Karthik (PGP-1), Prasad Ganorkar (PGP-2) and Kunal Jain (PGP-2). Their Business Plan Presentations have been selected for presentation round at the Thammasat Asia Moot Corp. SPJIMR has been selected among top-20 B-schools across Asia to present business plan at the Thammasat Asia Moot Corp 2007, Thailand.

Asia Moot Corp is the premier intercollegiate business plan competition in Asia. This is the first time that SPJIMR was invited to send entry to Thammasat Asia Moot Corp. Only one entry per B-school is permitted to participate in this competition. Grant Thornton and Thammasat Asia Moot Corp have judged the summaries of New Venture Plans. Out of all the invited entries, 20 Best Entries from top business schools in Asia representing China, Hong Kong, India, Korea, Singapore, Philippines, Taiwan and Thailand have been selected to participate in this 3 day competition.

The teams have been divided into four divisions and each division will make presentations on March 21, 2007. For 2007 competition, Asia Moot Corp will be held at Thammasat University, Thailand during March 20-22, 2007. The winner will receive a prize of US $ 12,500 and the title of Thammasat Asia Moot Corp Champion. The winner is eligible to compete in the University of Texas at Austin in the Global Moot Corp® Competition.

The other B-schools from India selected are Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and International Management Institute, Delhi! Some of the Asia's other top business schools selected in the Division A were Hitotsubashi University, Japan, Nanyang Business School, Singapore (TruckMatch.com) and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong (TruckMatch.com).
