Investing more than thirty years of his life in a single company, Mr. Peter Holman, Quality Director, Tektronix, visited ISME on 5th April. The students had just commenced their classes for the day when it was announced that a guest lecture was organized the college at 5.00 pm.

It was indeed testing time for the jamboree in class as the time clashed directly with their evening snacks. However, the wait was undeniably worth the while.

The theme of the presentation revolved about Tektronix as a company, its various product offerings, the various distribution channels and the global presence.

Tektronix has an R&D center in Bangalore which works in symmetry with their design teams located all over the globe. The Indian Center, as informed by Mr. Holman, consists of 150 employees. These employees work on cutting-edge solutions, for Tektronix' customers from around the world.

The students got a true picture of how a truly global company manages its different departments in various countries.

The Quality Director clarified a lot of pertinent doubts on both Tektronix as well as the challenges a global manager is likely to face in his professional life.

Arriving in the fifth term, the students were able to appreciate the various aspects of a multi-national organization. This was evident from the pertinent FAQ Session which ensued soon after Mr. Holman's presentation.

The session was undoubtedly very informative for the gathering.
