Schedule of Events to be Held During "Manthan 2007" at TISS-Mumbai

Manthan '07 promises to be a huge affaire with the crème de la crème of industry and academia converging on the TISS campus starting on 6th September. The flagship event "Udghosh", sponsored by Nestle, has received a huge response with entries coming in from institutes of the likes of IIMs, ISB, etc.
"Jigyasa", the Business Quiz sponsored by Google India, will be conducted by ace quiz-master, Siddhartha Basu. "Kshitij" is the paper presentation contest, which is sponsored by RPG Enterprises, and has received phenomenal response from various premier B-schools across the country.

The Assessment Center, "Anveshan", has been sponsored by Mahindra & Mahindra, and will be conducted by Mr. Shankar Subramanyam, a certified assessor with over 20 years of experience. "Vidha", the bouquet of informal events comprising of the Ad-Mad Show, Choreography Competition and the Solo Singing Competition promises all the fun that will help rejuvenate the exhausted cerebral muscle.

However, the highlight of the event is essentially its Corporate Sessions, wholly sponsored by IBM. The central theme of the sessions is "Business Ready People: The New Mandate for HR". The keynote address will be delivered by Ms. Anu Aga, Chairperson of Thermax Ltd.

Mr. T. V. Mohan Das Pai, HR Director and BOD member, Infosys, will speak on the rising importance of finishing schools, "From Grey Cells to Grey Suits".

This will be followed by a Panel Discussion on a topic that has generated a lot of heat especially after the clarion call given by Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh against increasing executive compensation. The topic for the Panel Discussion is "Rising Salaries: How Sustainable Are They?", which will be moderated by Mr. Arvind Aggarwal, President HR, RPG Enterprises. The other speakers for the panel discussion include Mr. Pranesh Anthapur, COO, Yahoo! India and Mr. Udayan Dutt, Cluster Reward Manager, South Asia, HUL.

A Corporate Workshop on the concept of Orbit Shifting Innovation will be conducted by Erehwon Innovation Consulting.

As promised, Manthan would bring an eclectic mix of events that will help all exhibit leadership and leadership talents. The event culminates with Alumni Dinner at Hotel Orchid, an ecotel on 8th of September, sponsored by Adrenalin, premier provider of HRIS software systems.
