About Erudition 2007

There is an ancient Chinese proverb, "If all your learning comes from books, you are more often wrong than you are right." Keeping this philosophy in mind, Erudition - The Annual Convention of Department of Commerce is one of the activities by which it's ensured that learning is not restricted in the classroom.

This year’s theme - "Alchemists at Work: Transforming the Future" - is especially chosen to bring to light the strategies adopted by visionaries to transform the way things are being done now and the way they will be done in the future, so that we can imagine a transformed world in the near future.

In order to keep pace with the velocity of change and to thrive in a turbulent scenario, organizations would need ALCHEMISTS who would shift the gears to TRANSFORM THE FUTURE. To do so, Alchemists would have to visualize the future, redefine their strategies, align processes and goals, and exceed what has been planned for.

Keeping in mind the above, The Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics is organizing its 12th Annual Convention. The program, comprising a two-day National Convention will feature a conceptual framework as well as practical experience sharing sessions by seasoned professionals.
