What's the time of the year when the leaders that define headlines, the czars of the business world, the best of academia and the harbingers of future growth congregate at a platform that challenges tradition and invokes fresh thought? Indeed, it's time for

"Mobilizing Minds & Transforming Thoughts", the theme for one of the most keenly awaited business festivals. IIM Lucknow proudly presents its flagship event, "The Annual Business Conclave: Manfest 2008". The all new edition promises to be bigger and better than any before, with budgets soaring higher and more than 25 of the most thought-provoking events. Manfest 2007 was concluded with prizes worth Rs. 10 Lacs and received participation from top-tier B-schools making it a huge success.

In continuation with the success over the past few years is Reliance Money's 'TradeSmart', the investment and portfolio management competition which saw an infusion of over Rs. 1 Crore in stock markets in previous editions. The three week long event receives continuous participation from the premier B-schools spread across the country, including the IIMs, FMS, MDI, XLRI, etc. Every team would invest a minimum of Rs. 5000 (with no upper limit) worth of real money in real time stock market with a minimal brokerage fee of Rs. 500 for trading worth Rs. 5 Lakhs for each team. With real money come real prizes and tremendous participation. The teams get to keep all the profits they make, and the winning teams would walk away with Rs. 1 Lakh worth of cash prizes.

With a mission to be a global, socially conscious and integrated school of management, contributing towards management development, both in India and abroad, IIM Lucknow undertakes a diverse range of academic activities and interventions aimed at creation, dissemination, and application of management knowledge and practices. Manfest began in 1988 with a vision 'to provide a platform that brings together academicians, students and practitioners of management in an environment that fosters thought, deliberation and debate and where great minds and ideas of the future find expression'.
