IIM Kozhikode Students Continue to Break Barriers, Launch Own Production House

Sreerama Suprath, the Director of the film, said, "The idea of the silent film came from the classic silent movie 'Pushpak'. I wanted to try something creative and set a decent benchmark for a start and we are quite happy with the results."

The vision of their production house is to make quality and original cinema with an appeal for both the local as well as an international audience; as with the changing dynamics of the Indian film industry, it is just a matter of time that movies will cease to have boundaries in terms of audience. Ashish Sinha, the co-founder of 12th Man Productions, added, "We can see an ever-increasing corporatization of Bollywood and it is maturing and coming closer to Hollywood in terms of professionalism and delivering quality cinema. It is already the second largest film industry in the world and it is here that we want to create a niche for 12th Man Productions."
