Annual Brand Management Festival, 'MICANVAS 2008', to be Held at MICA
On October 23-25, 2008

Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA) is proud to present its annual brand management festival, which is due to take place on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of October 2008. MICANVAS 2008 will see students participating from across top Indian business schools

such as IIMs, XLRI-Jamshedpur, ISB-Hyderabad, FMS-Delhi, and international participants from the Philippines, Pakistan, Italy, etc.

The flagship event of the festival is the Panel Discussion, MindSpeak, which will be conducted on the 23rd and 24th of October. Eminent personalities from the industry will descend on the MICA campus to talk about our theme "The Transforming Pyramid: Marketingenuity in a 'Brand' New World". Some of the panelists are: -

The three-day festival kicks-off with the international event, Colloquium, to be held on 23rd October 2008 and aims to bring forth an inclusive global perspective to the theme by exploring the consequences of environmental pollution. The international day culminates with a performance by Mr. Jay Thakkar, a renowned Indian Classical Flutist.

Over the three days, MICANVAS will host an array of formal and informal events. The formal events include SBI Bankonus - the marketing strategy plan, Manoranjan Ka Baap - the marketing and branding strategy for IPL, UTVi Invision - the making of a communication plan for Tata Nano, Mudra Spark - the paper presentation, EDC Cerebus - the B-plan competition, and so on. Among the informal events, the biggest event is AXN Last Man(ager) Standing - an event that poses a mental and physical challenge to be the best manager around, Spotlight - the theatre festival, Business Barons - the bizz quiz, Two To Tango - the salsa workshop, Cinema Paradiso - the film workshop, MY FM Midnight Treasure Hunt, Sell Hell, Slide Rules... the list is endless! A combination of fun and learning is typically what one should expect from these events.

The 25th night will see thousands of people pouring into the MICA campus for Adrenaline - the rock concert, which will witness Indian Ocean and Them Clones performing live in MICA.
