Entrepreneurship Week India 2009 to be Organized by National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN)
Theme: "Go Green: The World is our Business!"
On February 7-14, 2009

This year, Entrepreneurship Week India 2009, organized by National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) from February 7 to 14, will leave a greener footprint. 'Going Green' this year, E-Week will celebrate the spirit of 'Ecopreneurship'.

E-Week 2009 will be dedicated to the foreign-return-desi who is selling solar lamps in villages; to the small man who is building self-sustainable buildings in cities; to the middle-aged lady who is composting waste at home; to the MBA graduate who is using grease oil to run vehicles; to corporate who are exploring alternative solutions to conserve resources, changing the way they do business; to young college students who are running organic farms; and hundreds like them, who are - through their enterprise, ideas, technology and processes - adding a 'green' twist to their products, services and systems, and setting inspiring examples of 'Ecopreneurship'.

Over 5,00,000 students from nearly 440 institutes across the country will come together during E-Week to pledge their support to entrepreneurship, and ecopreneurship. For one week, each of the 3000 events across the country will recognize and support this drive for innovation, and passion for creating a sustainable future.

E-Week India 2009 will also see support from corporate and non-profit organizations and media groups. These include: IBM, TiE, OCC, Proto, Smart Techie, Headstart, CoolAvenues.com, Mumbai Angels, Venturewoods, WATBlog, Business Gyan and IAN, New Ventures and JAM.

Those interested to participate can register their college / club / residential association as an E-Week Partner, and kick-start a campaign of their own. Do check out the resources available at - www.nenonline.org

Check this space from 7th Fenruary 2009 as NEN-blogger Shubha Narayanan and photographer Sujith Sujan venture out on their E-Week Yatra, and capture the buzz and excitement live from campuses across India...
