Student Exchange Programme at IIM Lucknow

Previous

The Exchange Program, on the whole, makes the students of the participating business schools more aware about their counterparts the world over. Knowledge sharing is facilitated and communication barriers removed. Brand India is strengthened and the seeds of future business partnerships are sown.

The task of representing one's institute in international circles is one that entails the utmost responsibility and only the best can be chosen to do so. The process of selecting students for the Exchange Program is one that spans almost 4 months. Every student of the management program is given the opportunity to apply for Exchange and a rigourous process follows. A body comprising select faculty members is formed to screen each and every candidate. Only the most suitable are eventually selected.

The achievements of the outgoing students are recognized by the awarding of scholarships by the host universities and the governments of the host countries. Also, these scholarships are intended to aid them financially in their stay abroad. This year 12 students have been awarded scholarships. Mridul Arora, Vikas Vashishtha and Kaushal Choudhary have each been awarded the Egide - Eiffel Scholarship of 1200 Euros per month. Kapil Singh has been honoured with the French Embassy Scholarship of 2500 Euros. The 2860 Euros DAAD Scholarship has been awarded to both Pritam Bansal and Sameer Rafique Tirkar. Praveena Pattabhiraman and Satya Dinesh Kalluri will each be receiving the EBS Scholarship of 2400 Euros. The 4 students visiting McMaster University in Canada, Wishy Arora, Varun Didwania, Ashish Kaushal and Abhishek Mittal, will be receiving CD $1500 each during their stay there.
