Delhi Alumni Budget Analysis - The impact on your Business Every year, the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, comes out with its budget on the last day of February. And every year, myriad analysis of impact of the budget is done for a whole gamut of focus areas. And every year, such analysis leaves behind a trail of perplexed people, both from businesses and from among ordinary people, who are unable to comprehend exactly how the budget is going to affect them or their businesses. The need for relevant and focused analysis of the impact of the budget is most acutely felt by business leaders who need to strategize and revamp their business plans and market focus, based on the expected impact of the budget on their market, their cost base and their delivery capabilities as well as threat from substitutions which are enabled by the changed economics unleashed by the budget. The Central Budget of 2003 is expected to be an epoch making budget with far reaching impact on the Indian economy. The alumni of IIM Calcutta recognize the need for expert analysis of the budget, with specific focus on its impact on the businesses. Therefore, IIM Calcutta Delhi Alumni is hosting the panel discussion "Budget Analysis - The impact on your Business", in collaboration with IILM, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. It is hoped that the panel discussion would go a long way in assisting business leaders to comprehend the impact of the budget on their businesses.
