Ideas to Implementation 2003
Largest Business Plan Contest in India
at IIM Calcutta

i2I 2003

i2I (Ideas to Implementation) is the flagship event of the Entrepreneurship Cell of IIM Calcutta. By far Asia's biggest Business Plan Competition in terms of range and quality of participation and prize money, i2i attracts participants from top institutes in the country including the IITs, the IIMs, XLRI and also from major Indian Corporate houses. i2I 2003 will provide an ideal platform for budding entrepreneurs to showcase their talents and compete against each other.

The Event

The competition was launched on August 14, 2003. It will be held over a period of five months and would comprise of three rounds:

  • In the first round participants will have to send an executive summary of their business plans (not exceeding 2000 words) to the Entrepreneurship Cell, IIM Calcutta. The deadline for receipt of these is September 16, 2003.

  • The first round results will be announced by October second week 2003. Shortlisted candidates will have to submit a complete business plans by November second week 2003.

  • The Second round results will be announced by December second week 2003. The Finals will be held in January 2004.

Along with the opportunity to compete against exceptional talent from across the country, i2I-2003 also has some great prizes on offer. This year's prizes include cash prizes of Rs. 2 Lacs for the winners, Rs.1 Lac for the runners up. The winners also get a chance to have their ideas incubated by IndiaCo. In the past there have also been instances of finalists getting spot funding offers.
