About Backwaters

Backwaters is the Annual Management Festival of IIM Kozhikode. It is a crystallization of the energy of youth and the precise clarity of the mind of the modern manager. The three-day event brings with itself a cornucopia of stimulating Management games like stock market simulation contests, paper presentations and strategy games, not to forget an array of zany informal events. These events test participants for mental ability, logical thinking, spontaneity, knowledge about different fields of management, and above all, the sparkling completeness of thought and execution of brave ideas that competing in our corporations demands.

Backwaters 2002

This year Backwaters is scheduled on 29th November to 1st December. Some of the main events in Backwaters 2002 are:

Paper Presentation: 29th November 2002

Strategy, Finance & Marketing Games: 30th November 2002 - 1st December 2002.

Quizzes, Crosswords and other Informal Games: 30th November 2002 - 1st December 2002.

Online Games: A new excitement in Backwaters 2002 is the online games. There will be three cycles of online games, starting on 15th November.

First Cycle: 15th Nov. - 19th Nov.

Second Cycle: 20th Nov. - 24th Nov.

Third Cycle: 25th Nov. - 28th Nov.
