Web-Broadcast Worldwide of CONTINUUM-2004 at SJMSOM, IIT Mumbai

The institute is breaking new ground and reformulating the rules of management education in our country. With an emphasis on "a Composite and Unified approach to managing business processes", the school is creating a rich pool of professionals who are well equipped to see the bigger picture and are capable of providing innovative solutions to complex inter related business problems.

The highlight of the event is apart from its constant focus on quality and bringing industry and academia to a common platform for the first time in the history of the school, the event is broadcasted on web Worldwide. A result of sheer hardwork and continuus effort on part of the students of the school, this event could be watched online throughout the world at the school's site www.som.iitb.ac.in. Says Amit Agrawal the Student Media Co-coordinator ‘The tremendous hardwork of the Students and very good IT facility at SJMSOM, IIT BOMBAY makes the whole of web casting possible. We are planning to have this as our regular Media broadcast feature for our future events like our Annual B-Fest "Avenues" held in the month of November.' And other Management Seminars.’

Within Ten years of its inception, SJM SOM (as it is popularly known) is widely acclaimed as one of the best B-schools in the country. The institute has consistently figured amongst the top 10 B-schools in our country, based on surveys conducted by national publications.

Now "CONTINUUM" - the annual rolling seminar series one of the regular event at School Of management - is embarking onto yet another new milestone. On 3rd and 4th April 2004, it will be witnessing yet another episode of "CONTINUUM".

This event aims to cover the latest in management by inviting eminent speakers from business and academia. Each of these seminars focuses on issues and challenges faced by a management function, and aims at drawing insights from the knowledge and experience of the speakers. The seminars are well attended by delegates from different organizations and students from various business schools. A seminar focusing on Manufacturing & Logistics is being organized on 3rd & 4th of April, 2004 with the central theme: -

Manufacturing & Logistics in the Next Decade

With this SJMSOM sets another pioneering effort and continues its endeavor of bringing innovation to the field of Management.
