Lakshya 2003 In this era of globalization where competition is the order of the day, industries needed a platform where they could share their excellence among various industries and budding managers to not only show the world what it takes to be successful but also to improve themselves by gaining rich experience from others. Industrial Engineering students of NITIE have always served Industry as pillar-stones. So they took this challenge as a responsibility and Lakshya was born. Lakshya is a unique endeavor by Industrial Engineering students of NITIE to not only improve Industry-Industry interaction but also to improve Institute-Industry interaction to keep students updated with current requirement of industry and preparing them to handle their respective portfolios more effectively. This is very well reflected by its growing popularity among various B-schools in India. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) recognizes Lakshya as one of its unique kind in the Country and promotes to strengthen the bond between industries and the institute; fostering and disseminating developments and trends; bringing closer the expectations of the industry and the deliverables from NITIE. A jury comprising of stalwarts from the industry who have left their mark in their respective fields adjudges these projects. This unique event serves as a catalyst and an eye-opener to the forefront of development and implementation of the latest in management ideas & concepts and all that Indian businesses are very much capable of. Lakshya scaled great heights in the year 2002 and is expected to grow by leaps and bounds in the year 2003.
