In today's world of falling bastions of corporate world due to unethical behaviour, Center of DOCC at SPJIMR tried to propagate the idea of a symbiotic relationship among MBA students, organizations and the society at large with"Anvesha"- an inter B-School summer project competition stressing on the social relevance of the project done.

The competition held on the 4th of December attracted students from top management institutes like MDI, Gurgaon, Bharatidasan Institute of Management, IIM Kolkata and Goa Institute of Management. It started with the customary lightening of the lamp by chief guest Prof. D. D. Patel, senior professor and pioneer of DOCC. Dr. Patel spoke a few words about the institute and its maiden attempt at bringing together model projects from major B-Schools at one forum.

The Jury included Mr. S.M.Palia, Chairman of the board of jury, Chairman, Bombay Community Public Trust, Mumbai, Prof. K Pratap Reddy, Director, Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), Mr. S.K.Rao, Vice President, Tata Consultancy Services and Mr. R.N.Sharma, Head, Unit for Urban Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai.

The topics varied from 'potential livelihood and employment opportunities for people living in the old city part of Hyderabad' to"most elderly shifted to old age homes themselves unlike the popular belief" to the problems confounding mentally retarded children and leprosy.

After a series of discussions and Q&A sessions Radhika Kumar of SPJIMR was declared first and Peter Rebelo/Nishant Kurup of Goa Institute of Management, second.
