Inauguration of 4th EMBA Batch at SPJIMR The 4th batch of SPJIMR's prestigious 18-month EMBA program was inaugurated on April 30, 2004. While welcoming the participants, Prof. Suresh Mony stated that, the fact that in a short span of 20 months 4 batches have been started, is indicative of the popularity of the program amongst corporate and executives. Feedback obtained from corporate HR and mentors to participants indicates that the value-add for participants has been tremendous and the Application exercises designed by SPJIMR have greatly enhanced their practical knowledge and the productivity as well as decision-making capability has increased. He also dwelt on the unique pedagogy of SPJIMR's EMBA program and the considerable efforts put in by Faculty to make the program extremely rigorous Prof. S. D. Kshgirsagar spoke on the sea change that has taken place in the environment, the concomitant challenges imposed on executives in the prevailing scenario and how they can benefit from assiduously doing the EMBA program. Batch IV has 36 participants from 22 companies, with 10 from Hindustan Petroleum and the remaining from companies such as TCS, Ernst & Young, Accenture, Oracle, Schindler, Shell, Monsanto, Gujarat Ambuja, Mahindra & Mahindra. Majority of the participants are in the age group of 26 to 40 and include Engineers, CA's, Economics post-graduates working in diverse areas including IT, Operations, Marketing, Finance.
