SPJIMR's student selected as A Second Year participant of the PGP programme at SPJIMR, Mukul Suri comes across as a very ambitious person with a lot of energy. One of the popular faces on the campus, Mukul Suri has many achievements to his credit, the latest being selected as the "International Smart Manager" by www.thesmartmanager.com. Smart Manager is a magazine with a strong focus on case studies. Every issue of the magazine contains a case study that is solved by a panel of experts who offer a solution to a management dilemma. In addition, solutions are also invited and the best one wins the title of the International Smart Manager. Mukul won Contest # 7 of the magazine. An electrical engineer from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala, he is currently pursuing Marketing Management at SPJIMR. He considers the case that he solved to be very challenging but a fulfilling experience. He believes that change orientation and change sensitivity is an edge one should strive for. But actually while all progress is change, all change is not progress. The case he dealt with was on BPO implementations by an SME Bakery business. A course of action was required for the company to come out of trouble especially in the light of a new product introduction.
