SPJIMR team wins
Jury's Special Choice Award
in

Loreal E Strat Challenge finals at Paris

SPJIMR team won the Jury's Special Choice Award for being ORIGINAL & POETIC at Paris on April 22, 2003 in the Loreal E Strat Challenge finals.

The SPJIMR team which consisted of Ajay Gopalkrishnan, Bijo George and Manish Kurien, first year PGP students called themselves INDOTIGERS were one of the 8 finalists which included Harvard from USA and Insead from France, selected from 800 teams from 80 countries. They were the zonal winners from Asia Pacific 2 beating 32 teams from India including 11 teams from IIMs.

Countries in Asia Pacific 2 Zone that registered were:

Malaysia, India, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Philipines, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgistan and Afghanistan.

215 teams reached the semifinals totally out of 800 worldwide participants. 21 teams from Asia pacific 2 qualified for the semi-finals, and out of the 6 teams, which qualified from India, 3 were from SPJIMR. In the worldwide rankings, SPJIMR was 15th.
