SPJIMR hosts Graduation Day Ceremony
for the PGDIT Batch 2004

Mumbai, July 9, 2004: S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) today hosted Graduation Day Ceremony for the PGDIT batch of 2004 students. Thirty promising IT professionals specializing in Enterprise Solutions, Business Intelligence and Web Technologies were conferred the Diploma by Mr. Pradeep Erinjery, CEO - Thirdware Solutions Ltd. The Institute launched with pride, yet another batch of young and energetic change agents to unleash their techno-managerial magic in the IT industry.

Speaking on the occasion Prof. Sunil Rai, Chairperson - Centre for IT and program coordinator highlighted the promise of PGDIT in service of IT industry and it's upgrade to Master's in Information Technology in collaboration with Virginia Tech University, Blacksburg, USA. "The PGDIT course is an unique initiative, in line with many innovative programs offered by the Institute, that prepares IT professionals with difference, who will design, develop, implement & support IT Solutions for organizations to attain competitive business advantage," he added.

On the occasion of the Graduation Ceremony, Mr. Pradeep Erinjery, CEO - Thirdware Solutions Ltd., said, "The IT sector is a booming industry, and I am glad that SPJIMR has taken the initiative to train students in this field." He emphasized that IT professionals need to travel, adapt to new technologies and respect individuals around them. Mentioning initiatives at SPJIMR backed up by the vision of Dr. M. L. Shrikant and innovative faculty members like Prof. Rai, he said that a common platform for the industry to tap the immense potential of students has evolved at this institution.

Prof. Jayshree Thampi presented the batch report where the achievements of PGDIT 4 at events like TechFests at IIT's, Vikalp Management game were highlighted. The companies with which the students started their professional careers include Thirdware Solutions, Oracle, L&T IT, PCS, TCS and MBT.
