Press Release - 18th March, 2004 The Bhubaneswar chapter of CII organized a Corporate IT Quiz on Friday, the 12th of March, 2004 at the IDCOL auditorium. The members of Xquizzite, the quiz club of Xavier Institute of Management, hosted the quiz. This was perhaps the first break at the professional stage for Xquizzite, which is not even 6 months old and was basically the brainchild of few members of the PGP batch of 2003-2005, who wished to spread the love for quizzing in XIMB and Bhubaneswar in general. There were 8 teams in the final of which 3 teams were from Infosys, 2 teams from Satyam and 1 team each from UNDP, ESS and CMS. After 10 rounds of gruelling quizzing where rounds varied from technology to trivia to plain IT business, two teams were tied at 90 points each for the top position. After a heart-stopping tiebreaker, the team from Satyam, comprising of Pragjnajeet Mohanty and Tarun Chatterjee emerged victors. They pipped the team from Infosys, comprising of Abhishek Sourabh and Neil, in the tiebreaker. On behalf of CII, Mr. Vikramjit Moitra, the Development Centre Head of Infosys and the Convener for CII, Bhubaneswar gave away the prizes to the winners and mementoes to the members of Xquizzite.
