Bombay Stock Exchange closed at 20, 446.21

A benchmark index of Indian equities Friday ended 377 points higher on the first day of the October futures series.

 

 

The 30-share sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 20,094.

1 points, closed at 20,446.21 points (provisional), up 377.09 points or 1.88 percent, from its previous close at 20,069.12 points.

 

At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the 50-share S&P CNX Nifty ended at 6,147.5 points, up 1.95 percent.

Broader markets also ended among gains. The BSE midcap closed 1.64 percent higher and the BSE smallcap index 1.56 percent up.
