Reliance Communications Tuesday said it will launch its 3G services across 13 towns in Himachal Pradesh by the end of this week.

The towns that will get the service are Shimla, Solan, Baddi, Nalagarh, Paonta Sahib, Mandi, Kullu, Palampur, Hamirpur, Kangra, Dalhousie, Dharamsala and Una towns, the company's circle head for wireless business Sami Butt told reporters here.

The company's 3G network has been designed to offer blanket coverage in every town, with all sites capable of maximum download speed and minimum latency, Butt said, adding: "The network has the capacity to offer peak speeds of 28 Mbps."

The company had recently launched its 3G services in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Punjab.

The 3G services offer features such as video-calling, mobile TV, video streaming and access to applications at superfast internet speeds on a wide variety of both mobile phones and personal computing devices.
