WCRC celebrates success of Asian private education at the Asian Education Excellence Summit and Awards Ceremony

The biggest private education institutes and the top of the league academicians from across Asia were all present at the WCRC Leaders Asian Education Excellence Summit & Awards, held in New Delhi on January 9, 2014..
The event took place on the backdrop of the January 2014 issue of WCRC Leaders-Asia magazine, which has a special cover feature on Asia’s 100 Best & Fastest Growing Private Education Institutes. KPMG in India has been the process advisor and evaluator for the research survey.
The World Consulting & Research Corporation (WCRC), a multi-interest consulting, research and media conglomerate, played host to this event which witnessed participation from leading education brands of the likes of XLRI, SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Christian Medical College, Asian College of Journalism, Gulf Medical University, The Doon School, Bangkok University, among others.
Distinguished luminaries and senior government officials were present at the event as guests of honor. Present for the event were Mr. Pervez Dewan, Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, GoI, Mr. Pooran Chandra Pandey, Executive Director, United Nations Global Compact, Ms. Sunaina Tomar, Jt. Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, GoI, Mr. Ajay Tomar, IGP, BSF Punjab, among others.
The event started in the afternoon with PRIMESPEAK, a series of panel discussion sessions, themed around “Education creates Leaders”. Chancellors, Principals, Deans & Directors of leading academic brands from India and abroad were present for the panel discussion session. This elite group of panel speakers deliberated on various issues covering policy frameworks to academic quality improvement and placeability of graduates.
The event proceeded into the evening with the gala award ceremony. The guests of honor handed over the awards for Asia’s Best and Fastest Growing Private Education Institutes to the heads of the different institutions, who were present at the event. There was a separate category for academicians, who were conferred with the Excellence in Education Innovation & Leadership awards in different categories.
