From 1996 to 2007, average salaries for MBA graduates have risen an impressive 65% in dollar terms. Throughout all the challenges that Asia has faced in recent years (1997 Asian financial crisis and SARS, etc.) MBA salaries have continued to rise in the region as a whole.

Figure 21 shows average salaries reported by companies based in each country, providing a direct comparison of average MBA salaries in the lower cost countries of China and India with those in the higher cost regions of Singapore, Japan, and Hong Kong.
