Glossaries

InvestorWords
With over 5000 financial definitions, InvestorWords is a good place to look for the meaning of a finance-related word. Searching for a term is easy. Just click on the appropriate section of the alphabet and a compact list of links to all the terms in this section will appear. If you do not understand certain words in a particular definition, many of these words link to another definition where the word is further explained.

Campbell R. Harvey's Hypertextual Finance Glossary
This glossary is part of the Financial Toolbox put together by Campbell Harvey, Professor of Finance, at the Duke University Fuqua School of Business. The glossary contains over 3600 entries. Like the definitions in InvestorWords, many of the definitions in the Hypertextual Glossary contain links to other definitions.

NYSE Glossary of Financial Terms
Although the glossary on the NYSE site does not contain as many entries as some of the other finance glossaries, its definitions are often more detailed. Users can also download the whole glossary in pdf format.

invest-o-rama: financial and investing glossaries
