Points in Favor of a Five Rupee Price Point

Easy Handling of Five Rupee Coins

The above table clearly shows that a five-rupee coin has the least diameter of all coins except a 50-paise coin. Moreover, it is the lightest of all, being only 9.00 gms in terms of value as is shown in the table given below.

Ways in which coins are arranged
to make the value worth Rs.5
Weight Number of Coins
One five rupee coin 9.00 gms 1
2-two rupee coins & 1-one rupee coin 16.85 gms 3
5-one rupee coins 24.25 gms 5
2-two rupee coins & 2-fifty paisa coins 19.58 gms 4

Thus, we see that a five-rupee coin turns out to be a favorite handling coin for a common person who does not want to load his wallet with lots of coin when he can do away with just one.
