Conclusion

In the today’s global markets, the companies are facing fierce competition, shortened product life cycle and ever increasing expectations of the customers. Hence, Supply chain management holds a strategically important position in the overall corporate strategy. But the important objective for the companies is to achieve a strategic fit between the supply chain strategy and the competitive strategy. The companies like Mahindra & Mahindra have overcome the competitive pressures and attained the leadership position in the industry by the successful supply chain management.
