CAT 2010 result out: faces outage issues as huge traffic hits

After a trail of speculations, CAT result is finally out of the bag. Following controversies and result leak scare, CAT results were finally announced officially January 12, Wednesday.


CAT score is one the prime requisites for getting into country’s premier b-schools—The IIMs, a dream of every management aspirant in India. Aspirants can view their result by entering their CAT registration number and e-mail address they have registered for CAT from.

Anticipating a huge traffic on the site on the result day, the authorities have created a toll free helpline for students facing a technical glitch or other issues when accessing their results. The toll free number is 1-800-103-9293 for telephonic inquiries.


The aspirants are flooding the internet and are anxiously searching for their results. According to sources, an estimated 8 people have scored a 100 percentile in the admission test and another 19 candidates scored 99.99 percentile missing the cent percentile by a hairline difference.


It was for the second year that the test has been conducted online. This year 204267 aspirants appeared for CAT in a twenty days long testing window starting from October 27, 2010 till November 24, 2010.


CAT is conducted every year to gain admission to 11 Indian Institutes of Management and over 150 B-schools in India.
