IIM Shillong releases selection criteria for PGP 2012-14

IIM Shillong recently released their selection criteria on its official website. The selection of candidates for admission to PGP (2012-14) will be undertaken in 2 phases after CAT 2011.

The first phase would involve shortlisting of candidates to be called for Group Discussion and/or Personal Interview (GD/PI). The second phase would involve the preparation of final merit list, based on which candidates will be offered admission to the said course. The process to be followed in each of these phases is as follows:

The criterion for General candidates of +1.5 seems extraordinarily tough. It means that even bright students from General Category will be knocked out unfairly, not even meeting the pre-requisites.

Chandra, IIM Shillong merely conforms to the rules set by the ministry. Changing the reservation criteria is beyond their command of control. But ,yes, the onus on the G.C students is quite high. Time to step up further then.
