Factory HR Head for plant near Navi Mumbai
Fortune 50 MNC with a workforce of 92,000 employees.
The accountabilities of this role will be under the following main areas:
a.. Employee Relations
b.. Statutory compliance
c.. Management of litigations
d.. Business HR support
Specifically, the key accountabilities of this role include:-
Employee Relations:
a.. Develop and implement a strategy for negotiating long term wage agreements with Unions and assist in the execution of wage agreements from time to time.
b.. Advise line managers on employee discipline issues, support and facilitate disciplinary actions whenever required.
c.. Advise line managers on handling employee grievances and facilitate resolution of grievances with a view to ensuring industrial harmony and positive discipline.
d.. Act as the key contact for the BP Code of Conduct - Commitment to Integrity- and advise line managers from time to time on code of conduct issues.
e.. Facilitate development of worker development programs and continuous improvement programs for employee involvement like Total quality management, small group activities and other innovative HR practices.
Business HR Support:
a.. Support the effective implementation of people agenda at the plant.
b.. Develop and implement a resourcing plan for the plant and drive the selection process and facilitate development of resourcing initiatives through appropriate recruitment strategies.
c.. Partner communications and engagement activity and actively participate in the roll of out employee engagement and change management initiatives in the plant.
· Support the assessment and capability building of the employees at the plant.
· Support the implementation of HR initiatives like Talent Management, performance management, reward and recognition, employee policies, training and development initiatives at the plant.
Statutory compliance:
a.. Implementation of labour laws and adherence of statutory compliance at the plant.
b.. Impart adequate knowledge of labour laws to the line managers.
c.. Lead and support the Compliance certification process at the plant and make it robust to provide positive assurance by supporting open and proactive reporting of non compliances.
d.. Guide and lead self verification audits at the plant pertaining to labour law compliances.
Management of litigations:
a.. Manage and monitor court/legal matters at the plant, actively interfacing with impaneled Company advocates and legal counsel.
b.. Assist in the development of strategy for labour law litigations and facilitate settlement of cases as per Company expectations.
c.. Advise and support line managers in civil and/or criminal litigations and provide guidance when needed.
Education:
Post graduate degree or diploma in Human Resource management / Personnel Management and industrial relations. Knowledge of labour laws is essential.
Experience:
Post qualification work experience. Must have worked in an unionized factory environment and have managed industrial relations.
