Job Description:

Position Summary:

This position exists to ensure the following:

- Manage the business relationship between company and its Identified Business Partner(s)

- Productivity of the Channel Partner as per the set business norms.

- Managing Partner Sales Training and Business Processes

Key Responsibilities:

Relationship Management

- Manage the relationship with partner(s), including all key personnel/stakeholders etc

- Support day to day operation of the relationship and processing of applications

- Manage the overall Sales deliverables (premium, volumes, product mix)

Channel Support and Sales Process Management

- Manage sourcing, processing and issuance, post issuance customer issues (if any)

- Manage financials of relationship, including support meeting of financial targets, sales promotion activities, support timely and correct commission reconciliation

Training and Product Support

- Facilitate and anchor ongoing training and skills development for channels and employees including new hires at channels

- Ensure delivery of all mandatory trainings

Administrative and Control functions

- Ensure adherence to all company policies and processes at channel partner end

- Ensure that channels and channel employees are engaged around business objectives & results.

- Develop & implement initiatives to motivate & retain high performing talent.

Adherence to regulatory and compliance norms.

- Ensure adherence of code of conduct set by IRDA and Life Insurance Council.

- Ensure conformation to all financial and administrative systems.

- Ensure Compliance to all statutory & regulatory norms.

Candidate Profile:


1. Graduate / MBA/ Post graduate 5 to 7 years of experience

2. Preferably – MBA ( Marketing & Finance )


1. Preferably with a prior experience in Life insurance sales and Tied-Agency management experience- should have managed multiple branches/locations

2. Analytical Skill in business planning and cost management

3. Have a comprehensive level of understating of IRDA regulation.

4. A background in Third Part Sales/Marketing and/or channel management will be an advantage

1. High levels of presentation & communication skills; ability to interact, manage relationship with channel owners

2. Team management capabilities

3. Competitor Knowledge and understanding of industry product landscape

4. Customer focused, proactive, result oriented & influencing skills,

6. Industry knowledge to lead & support Business Development/Identification of new channels in location

Support provided: The incumbent will be eligible for all continuous education programmes available in the organization and will be supported by relevant functions within DPLI and the TPD team. Incumbent may be required to be based out of Partner Location(s)
