We believe that diversity adds to the learning experience. ISME admission process does not prefer any particular background (with the exception of work experience) but focuses more on how the candidate has excelled in the following areas - academic, extra-curricular, work experience, communication skills, intellect, leadership abilities and creativity.

What are the steps involved in your admission procedure?

A. The eligibility criteria for admission to PGPM: -
a) Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks. If you are a final year student, you are eligible to apply. You will be provisionally admitted to ISME and before the end of first term, you need to submit the Degree Certificate with a minimum of 50% marks.
b) Score of CAT / MAT / XAT or any other national management aptitude tests.
c) If the student has not appeared in any of the national entrance exams, he would be required to take ISME Entrance Exam on the day of interview.

B. The form can be procured in the following ways: -
a) Downloaded from www.isme.in
b) From any of the IMS, PT, CF, CL coaching centers on payment of Rs. 1,000/-.

After the form is filled and attached with the required documents, it should reach ISME, Bangalore before the deadline which is 29th Febuary 2008 or 15th April 2008 (Final round - in case of availability of seats).

Once the form is received by the Admissions Department, the selected applicants will be called for Personal Interview at Delhi / Bangalore and a few more select cities.

The final selection will be based on the strength of the applicant's application and his/her performance in the Personal Interview.

What is the CAT Cut-off Percentile (or other exams' score which ISME will accept) at ISME?

We prefer students who have a CAT Score of over 70 percentile or over 600 in GMAT. We accept other scores as well but the admission criterion is more stringent. Since our evaluation is on five different parameters, if the candidates feel that they excel in other areas, they are open to applying at ISME even with a lower score.

What about Group Discussion and Personal Interview, what kind of weightage is given to Group Discussion and Interview?

We focus quite a lot on the interview process. During the interview, we evaluate the candidate on the following - family background, academic background, activities / achievements, work experience, communication skills, motivation for a management degree, and intellect. Given our extensive interview, we are able to identify all the attributes that we want the candidate to be evaluated on, and as a result, we do not have Group Discussions. Instead, we have an essay writing test to test the written skills of students during the interview process.
