Placements 2003 at IIMB started in October 2002 with Summer Placements for the first year students. After a hectic first round which saw the highest average number of offers per company seen in recent years, the summer placements progressed smoothly towards completion with the entire post-graduate program batch of 211 being placed in 75 organizations by January 2003. The organizations that made multiple summer placement offers in decreasing order of number of offers were:
Organizations that made single summer placement offers were Ashok Leyland, Associates, Bank of America, Berger Paints, BOC, Electrolux, Garware Wall Ropes, Gillette, Global Telesystems, Greenpeace, IMG, Infosys Technologies, Marico, Merindus, Monsanto, Olam Group, Pantaloon, Power Finance Corporation, Ramco Systems, Saurashtra Cements, SBI Capital Markets, Shaw Wallace and Zee Turner. A total of 17 foreign summer placement offers were made by Deutsche Bank, HSBC, Lehman Brothers, National Kidney Foundation, Singapore, Olam Group and SEALLCC compared to 10 last year.
