Placement 2004

 IIM Kozhikode

Final Placements 2004 @ IIM Kozhikode

IIM Kozhikode has had an exceptional placements season. Some notable indicators include the quantum of jobs (an average of 1.81 jobs per student), the outstanding lateral placement program (56% of total offers), and the impressive escalation in the number of firsttime final placements recruiters on campus (20).

This year's placement process (both finals and summers) has attracted a combined total of 41 first-time recruiters including Accenture, National Kidney Foundation of Singapore, Microsoft Corporation, AGS Morgan Stanley, IBM, Digital Globalsoft, Infosys, Wipro, ICI Ltd. and CavinKare - a powerful confirmation of IIMK's growing stature in industry and it's emergence as a leading Indian business school.

Regular recruiters like GE Capital, ICICI Bank, ABN AMRO, Asian Paints, Godrej, TCS, Computer Sciences Corporation and the Aditya Birla Group also returned to campus to draw from the IIMK talent pool. A number of companies were asked to cancel their placement visits, as there were no available students left to interview.

Market-based curricula and strong industry linkages

IIM Kozhikode's successful placements record reflects its market-based curricula and its constant strengthening of industry linkages over the years. Industry interaction extends to the classroom where a number of electives in the second year are conducted by leading companies. Courses by Wipro (Software Project Management), TCS (Systems Concepts) and UTI Bank (Equity Research and Capital Markets) as well as courses on branding and B2B marketing by top industry consultants are complemented by courses from IIMK faculty who are at the forefront of academic research and consulting.

Apart from an industry guest lecture series that runs through the year, IIMK also hosts top leaders from corporate India in its annual management seminar "Horizons" and this year's inaugural Brand Seminar.
