Going forward, we believe that placements 2005 will also look good, as economy will continue to be in top swing. However, Indian management education is facing unprecedented challenges where Govt & babus a.k.a. IAS are trying to control these pockets of excellence. We believe that in long term the excellence will prevail and talent will win.

The other more significant challenge the management education is facing is mushrooming of shady business schools across the country where self proclaimed management guru dare to think beyond IIMs and mine the pockets of innocent parents & students.

In a country where regulatory bodies draw more cynicism than respect, bodies like AICTIE are left with little credibility in the market to enforce a structure where the good can be separated from the bad. In this environment, Placements is the only true yardstick which separates men from boys, and placements in "Citibank DSA" or "Citi Bank" tells all the difference between "dare to think beyond IIMs" & IIMs. Hence, we believe that Placements is a true parameter, the real market as our economist will tell us, which help us to identify the true winners without any manipulations & fudging advertising. And Placements will continue to remain that true force of information, which will help the stakeholders to make the right choice.

And for this very reason we celebrate the success of Placement 2004 & true democracy it represent.
