Placement 2004

 SPJIMR, Mumbai

SPJIMR Shines at Placement 2004

The "India Shining" feeling was evident at the SPJIMR campus during Placements 2004 where the last offer was made at 1 15 p.m. on Day One.

A rush of 34 Pre Placement Offers (PPOs) immediately after the Autumn Projects ending in November 2003 from 16 companies, kick-started the placement process. More than 100 companies showed interest in participating in the placement process of 2004. Out of these, 68 companies made pre-placement presentations. Of these only 43 companies were required to place the eligible batch of 127 students compared to 62 invited last year.

Nine companies, which had already given PPOs, returned for Final Placement and gave 30 more offers. Another 28 companies gave 64 offers out of which 54 were accepted. Some of the largest recruiters were Wipro Group (14), i2 Technologies (12), GE Group (9), IBM (8), HCL (7), Asian Paints (7), Ernst & Young (5) and TCS (5).

Mr. Vikrant from Wipro who had visited the campus this year for the recruitment process felt that the process was managed very professionally. Companies like Wipro which had come with 5 panels, managed to get a steady stream of candidates for the interviews. Mr. Vikrant was also appreciative of the level of support that the faculty extended to the companies ensuring that the placement process was smooth and hassle free.
