With several Investment Banks choosing to make their largest number of offers at IIMB, the institute has clearly emerged as the preferred talent source for investment banks across the globe." Andrew who is the Head of Foreign Exchange, HSBC London said, "I had very high expectations when I came here, but I was still pleasantly surprised. The quality here is excellent. The students here at IIMB are absolutely outstanding."

Another record of sorts was created when IIMB saw 100 acceptances on ‘Day 1’ which is the highest ever by any IIM. Medha from the global recruitment team of American Express said, "IIMB is our favourite campus." She was also full of praise for the students and the placement process at IIMB. Among the Indian recruiters, Cognizant kept up its long-standing relationship with IIMB and made 33 offers, the highest number of offers made by any firm across campuses. ‘Day 1’ also saw the usual slew of banks like Citibank, Standard Chartered, ICICI, Kotak Investment bank and DSP Merrill Lynch. Top marketing companies like P & G and HLL also recruited from campus. In addition, Indian consulting companies like Accenture, KPMG and E & Y also came to campus.

Among foreign recruiters, BNP Paribas, one of the largest multinational banks, made its highest number of offers at IIMB, offering positions at Hong Kong, Singapore, London and Tokyo. Speaking about the students at IIMB, Angelo Pinto from BNP Paribas said, "Besides the sound academics the students possess, we have also seen in them the right mix of quantitative skills, quick responsiveness and understanding of global markets.
