The placements were majorly dominated by IT Sector (24%), Banks & Fis (23%), Service Industry (12%), FMCGs and Consumer Durables (7%) and the rest 34% in Manufacturing and Automobile companies.

2005 had IMT alumni coming back as recruiters in companies like Zee Telefilms, Radio Mirchi, Reebok India, TCS, Citigroup, ICICI Bank, Satyam Computer Services, Seagram India and many more.

Some of the regular recruiters that returned to the campus again this year were GE, Dabur, Agrotech, Henkel Spic, Whirlpool, Ramco, HDFC Bank, Development Credit Bank and many more.
