MDI Gurgaon Surpasses Efforts of Previous Years in Placements 2005

"We will either find a way or make one."

- Hannibal

After the stupendous success of Placements 2004, MDI replicated and even surpassed its dazzling effort of the previous year, once again ensuring 100% placements for the batch of 2003-05 in record time.

Over 56 prestigious companies from varied sectors visited the MDI campus, for recruitment this year. The crème de la crème of the industry were queuing-up with job offers for the fresh breed of bright & talented MBAs from MDI.

The recruiters offered job profiles spanning across all the desired functional areas like corporate finance, private banking, sales and distribution, HR consulting, IT, etc. Certain companies like American Express, J.P.Morgan, KPMG, etc., also offered certain niche profiles like Information Risk Management, Equity Research and Analytics. This year saw a slew of Finance and Banking majors like American Express, Deutsche Bank, HSBC AMC, BNP Paribas, J.P.Morgan (ERG), etc., as first-time recruiters. This can be attributed to MDI's emerging expertise in producing some of the best candidates in the finance stream.

The IT/ITeS sector again remained much sought after, with nearly 32% of students securing placements here. Premier IT/ITeS companies visiting MDI included Wipro, Satyam, Sify, Patni, IBM, HP, Inductis, etc.

Marketing, the traditional stronghold of MDI, proved itself to be the veritable goldmine with respect to placements. A mix of traditional recruiters like Nestle, Reckitt Benckiser, Asian Paints, etc., along with new entrants like ITC, Cadbury's and Godrej offered students with marketing and sales & distribution profiles.
