Consulting Shines at JBIMS, McKinsey & Co. Makes 2 Offers Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, has just finished its final placements and surpassed the impressive track record of 4 decades of providing industry with superior intellectual capital. Though there was representation from every sector during placements, as all major corporate queued up to lay their hands on the best talent, it was Consulting that returned with a bang, with McKinsey & Co. recruiting 2 students. The sector saw a rise in the percentage intake, with 10 students getting into the crème-de-la-crème of consulting companies. Besides McKinsey, other consulting firms that recruited from JBIMS this year are Accenture Management Consulting, Tata Strategic Management Group and Bristlecone Consulting. Not only has the average salary scaled up this year, the profiles that have been offered have made many unrealized dreams come true. We saw the presence of many new sectors including hedge funds, media, aviation, insurance, apart from the regulars in Consulting, Banking, FIs, FMCGs, IT recruiting in numbers. Bajaj has traditionally been the haven for banking aspirants and this year too 37% of the batch has been placed in Banking & FIs.
