Biggest Names from Corporate World Recruit from DMS, IIT Delhi

Its raining offers at the Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi, with some of the biggest names in the corporate world making a beeline for some of the best managerial talent available in the country. Placements 2007 have reinforced DMS's position among the higher echelons of management education.

With companies competing for the best brains from this centre of excellence, the entire batch was placed within few hours of commencement of the placement process. Even before the placement process began, an impressive 18 PPOs were made.

The average salary for the year was a whopping Rs. 8.57 Lacs p.a., whereas the median salary stood at Rs. 8.12 Lacs p.a., and the highest domestic salary offered was Rs. 13.5 Lacs p.a. A total of 42 companies visited the campus scouting for talent and in the process made a staggering 1.92 offers per student, including overseas assignments.

With some of the most respected names in the Banking and Financial Services Industry such as HSBC, Kotal Mahindra, Citibank, SBI Caps, SEBI, and ICICI to name a few, handpicking talented managers, DMS has surely come of age as a premier business school. Some of the other star recruiters includes KPMG, IBM (BCS), Avalon, Market RX from the Consulting Domain, CTS, Wipro, IBM, Kanbay, HCL, PCS from the IT/ITES sector, and Maruti, Kingfisher Airlines, Idea, Bharti, McKinsey KC, DCM Shriram offering Marketing Profiles.
