Placements 2008 at IFMR-Chennai Offered Dream Profiles & Attractive Compensations

"Dreams come true!" would be an apt description for IFMR's final placements where students not only got their dream profiles but also attractive compensation. 16 companies from diverse sectors participated in the campus placement process for Full-time PGDM Batch of 2006-08. 85% of the batch was placed on first day of the placement week within a matter of few hours. On an average, there were 1.40 offers per student to choose from.

The highest offer was made by UBS for Rs. 8.5 Lakhs per annum, a commendable increase from last year's Rs. 7.5 Lakhs. The median CTC is Rs. 6.75 Lakhs, a remarkable increase of 20.5 % from last year's Rs. 5.6 Lakhs.

Following companies participated in campus recruitment vying with each other to woo the best talent: -

First time recruiters like Darashaw, UBS, Irevna, Verizon, Taj Hotels, Olam were very impressed with the quality of the students and the intellectual capital. Mr. Manvinder Singh, GM - Structured Products, OLAM, said, "Thorough financial knowledge. We will be there every year." Ms. Chhavi Bajaj, Sr. Manager - HR, UBS, said that she was impressed with the quality of the students and their good exposure to financial concepts.
